Inactivity Fees for Customers and Shops

Creative Market is currently charging an Inactivity Fee on undrawn wallet balances to cover some of the costs incurred when funds are stored for an extended period of inactivity. You can learn more about our Inactivity Fee below:

Why did Creative Market introduce an Inactivity fee?

The Inactivity fee is a fixed-value fee of $3.99 charged once a month to accounts with account balances that have not been used in 18 months. This fee is designed to help cover various insurance and security costs associated with storing funds and will only impact accounts with balances and a prolonged period of inactivity.

Keep in mind that customers' purchases from your shop and logging into your account are not considered activity. This is just about your account balance

As a long-time customer, can I opt-out of this fee?

Sorry, opting out is not an option since storing inactive fund balances for extended periods incurs costs.

Is the fee refundable?

The Inactivity Fee is non-refundable but will cease to be charged upon new balance activity in the account. 

Why does my account have a balance? 

Your account might have a balance because you purchased a Credits Package or because credits were added to it by Creative Market staff. Once you have signed into your account, you can find out your balance by hovering over the profile icon in the top right corner. 

How do I spend my balance?

To purchase assets with your balance, you can select the 'Buy Now' or 'Add to Cart' buttons on the product page. Once you checkout, your balance will be automatically applied to the total. Then, select 'Pay with Credit Card/PayPal' to complete the transaction.

Can I have my account balance refunded?

No, we cannot refund partially used or purchased credit packages over 30 days ago.

How is the Inactivity Fee charged?

This charge will be removed from your account balance. You will no longer be charged if you no longer have an account balance. Your account balance will never become negative due to an inactivity fee. 

Can I transfer my account balance to another account?

Unfortunately, it is not possible to transfer a balance between accounts.
