Inactivity Fees for Customers and Shops

Creative Market is currently charging an Inactivity Fee on undrawn wallet balances to cover some of the costs incurred when funds are stored for an extended period of inactivity. You'll be able to learn more about our Inactivity Fee below.

Why did Creative Market introduce an Inactivity fee?

The Inactivity fee is a fixed-value fee of $3.99 charged once a month to accounts with fund balances that have not been used in 18 months. This fee is designed to help cover various insurance and security costs associated with storing funds and will only impact accounts with balances and a prolonged period of inactivity. Keep in mind that customer purchases on your account is not considered activity. This is solely regarding your account balance

As a long-time customer over the years, can I opt-out of this fee?

Sorry, opting out is not possible since storing inactive fund balances for extended periods of time incurs costs.

Is the fee refundable?

The Inactivity Fee is non-refundable but will cease to be charged upon new balance activity in the account. 

Why does my account have a balance? 

Your account might have a balance because you purchased a Credits Package or because credits were added to your account by Creative Market staff. You can find out your balance by hovering over the profile icon in the top right corner once you have signed into your account. 

How do I spend my balance?

To purchase assets with your balance, you can select the 'Buy Now' button or the 'Add to Cart' button on the product page. Once you checkout, you'll see that your balance has been automatically applied to the total. Then select 'Pay with Credit Card/PayPal' to complete the transaction.

Can I have my account balance refunded?

No, we are unable to refund partially used credits packages/credit packages purchased over 30 days ago.

How is the Inactivity Fee charged?

This charge will be removed from your account balance. You will no longer be charged if you no longer have an account balance. Your account balance will never become negative due to an inactivity fee. 

Can I transfer my account balance to another account?

Unfortunately, it is not possible to transfer a balance between accounts.
