Can I use licensed illustrations to create graphics for a website?
Yes, this is permitted, as long as the graphic is static, significantly different than the original licensed Asset, has taken time and effort to create, and does not allow the end user to extract the original licensed graphic. The item must not derive its primary value from the asset itself.
Please note that you may not use a licensed graphic to forward a business under the Personal License.
Can I use a graphic as an avatar for users on my website?
Yes, this is permitted, as long as the avatar image is static, significantly different than the original graphic, has taken time and effort to create, and does not allow the end user to extract the original licensed graphic. The item must not derive its primary value from the asset itself.
Please note that you may not use a licensed graphic to forward a business under the Personal License.
Can I use graphics for a product I offer for free on my blog/website?
Yes, this is permitted. For example, you can include a graphic in a greater design for free printable wall art, as long as the end result of that design is significantly different than the original graphic, has taken time and effort to create, and does not allow the end user to extract the original licensed graphic. The free item must not derive its primary value from the asset itself.
The following license-specific conditions apply:
- Personal License: You may use the licensed graphic to create free printables for a personal blog or site, but using these graphics to forward a business is not permitted.
- Commercial License: You may create up to 5,000 free digital products that may be downloaded an unlimited number of times.
- Extended Commercial License: You may create up to 250,000 free digital products that may be downloaded an unlimited number of times.
Can I use licensed Assets in my online course?
Yes, you may use licensed Assets to create course material for your online course. Keep in mind that the course material should be significantly different from the original licensed Asset, have taken time and effort to create, and not allow the end user to extract the original licensed graphic. Your course materials must not derive its primary value from the asset itself, and you may not allow your students to access the original licensed Asset, even for educational use.
Please note that under the Personal License, you may not use graphics for any paid course or other premium educational materials.
